Friends of Mardi Gras
We started with a great neighborhood, added a winter celebration and a few hundred thousand people, and it became Soulard Mardi Gras ... now the third largest Mardi Gras celebration in the world, after Rio and New Orleans, according to USA Today.
The Friends of Mardi Gras is a new krewe (a club, in the language of Mardi Gras) that will extend YOUR Mardi Gras fun year-round. The Friends of Mardi Gras has been created by Mardi Gras, Inc. to support the Mardi Gras Foundation, which will provide funds for Soulard neighborhood improvements.
YOU can become a charter member of the Friends of Mardi Gras for as little as $25 - or as much as $2,000 or more! Depending on your membership level, benefits of membership include commemorative Mardi Gras pins, a quarterly e-mail newsletter, invitations to the VIP Grand Parade viewing area, free Friends of Mardi Gras parking on Parade Day, and two spots on the Mardi Gras, Inc. float in the Grand Parade.
